'Arrow' and 'The Flash' will return to Sky1 next month, giving subscribers a one-two punch of superhero action to look forward to.

The third series of 'Arrow' will hit the channel on February 12th, while 'The Flash' will sprint its way onto our screens on February 10th. Sky confirmed both on Twitter.

Both series take place in the DC Comics universe. 'Arrow' focuses on billionaire playboy Oliver Queen – played by Stephen Arnell – who returns from a five-year stay on a hostile island to become a crime fighter.

Series two of 'The Flash' sees Grant Gustin don the red lycra jumpsuit of the titular hero, who can run really, really fast.

He starts off as a civilian named Barry Allen, who wakes nine months after being struck by lightning to find that he is now super speedy and feels duty-bound to use his power to fight crime.

Plot details aren't known for either, but it has been revealed that Charlotte Ross will reprise her role as Felicity Smoak's (Emily Bett Rickards') mother in 'Arrow'.

Vinnie Jones also appeared in previous series.
