The second series of 'Penny Dreadful' will start on Sky Atlantic on April 28th, Sky has confirmed.
That's two days after it's broadcast in the US.
Set in Victorian London and filmed in Dublin, the show sees explorer Sir Malcolm Murray and American gunslinger Ethan Chandler join forces to combat supernatural beings.
The horror series stars Reeve Carney ('Father of the Pride'), Timothy Dalton ('Hot Fuzz'), Eva Green ('Casino Royale'), Josh Hartnett ('Black Hawk Down') and Rory Kinnear ('Skyfall'). Its first series also starred former pop star-turned-Doctor Who sidekick Billie Piper.
Series two will be awash with guest stars, including Patti LuPone, Douglas Hudge and Sarah Greene.
It's created by John Logan, the man behind the screenplay to forthcoming Bond film 'Spectre'. His CV also includes 'The Last Samurai', 'Gladiator', 'Skyfall' and 'Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street'.
Logan has previously said the series sees Vanessa (Green) and Ethan (Hartnett) face old enemies and turn to each other for solace.
They are forced to confront their demons together, and in doing so, their intimacy grows. Sounds like romance is on the cards.
Here's a trailer for the second series. As you can see, it all looks very dark and brooding. With such a strong cast, we're expecting big things.
