Sky has released a behind-the-scenes clip of its upcoming drama 'Fortitude'.

It sees Stanley Tucci and Richard Dormer talk about their respective characters.

Tucci plays Dan Anderssen, the local sheriff. "Dan Anderssen has been in Fortitude about eight years," Tucci explains. "He keeps a professional distance, but if anybody needs help, or if anybody is in trouble, Dan will be there.

"He's married to his job, it's his life. I think he's a great sheriff.

"He's quite a complex character. Still waters run deep and all that. He's a little extreme sometimes. If he sees someone creating trouble, he's quite forceful."

Dormer plays DCI Morten, a detective from London who comes over to investigate the murder.

"It's like pulling teeth to get information out of anyone," Dormer says. "He really has entered into what is in essence a kind of big dysfunctional family.

"I guess he's the ultimate outsider, and it's not a place that welcomes outsiders easily. But there's always a first time for everything."

The series is the first to be broadcast across all of Sky's European territories at the same time. On January 29, it will air in the UK, Germany, Italy, Ireland and Austria.
