vikings season 3

The first episode of series three of 'Vikings' is now available on Amazon Prime Instant Video.

Every Friday, a new episode of the historical drama will hit the streaming service. That's a day after it airs on the History Channel.

The series runs for 10 episodes and sees Ragnar, the newly crowned king of Denmark, and his fellow vikings planning to attack Paris.

It Travis Fimmel as Ragnar, Clive Standen as Rollo and Jessalyn Gilsig as Siggy.

The series premiered in 2013, and was the first to air exclusively in the UK on Amazon Prime Instant Video.

Amazon has been making waves recently with its TV shows. It greenlit a second series of classical music drama 'Mozart in the Jungle' and has commissioned full series of five of its latest round of pilots, including 'The Man in the High Castle'.

Next year, it will air Woody Allen's first ever TV show.

Like its arch rival Netflix, Amazon is also moving into film production.

It aims to release 12 films a year in cinemas, bringing them to its streaming service soon after.
