Another day, another new series for Netflix. This one is based on the book 'Green Eggs and Ham' by Dr. Seuss, and will be produced by 'Ellen' star Ellen DeGeneres.
The 13-episode series will air in 2018, and will be written by Jared Stern, the scribe behind the awesome 'Wreck-It Ralph'. Apparently he's been trying to make a series based on the book for years.
It's rumoured to be the most expensive animated show ever created for television.
Ellen posted a video on her Ellentube site to tell us all about it.
It'll be "fun for the whole family" according to her, and will be "cutting-edge animation" that's "never been done on television before". Sounds intriguing.
'Green Eggs and Ham' tells the story of a character called Sam-I-Am, who tries to persuade an unnamed character to try the titular dish. The book was released in 1960.
Cindy Holland, VP of original content for Netflix, got into the spirit of things for her quote. "We think this will be a hit, 'Green Eggs and Ham' is a perfect fit, for our growing slate of amazing stories, available exclusively in all Netflix territories," she said.
"You can stream it on a phone. You can stream it on your own. You can stream it on a TV. You can stream it globally."
