The Wachowski brothers – the siblings behind 'The Matrix' – have a new series starting on Netflix soon, and the first trailer has just landed.

'Sense8' focusses on eight strangers from eight cities all over the world who develop a psychic and emotional bond with each other and can experience what the others feel.

They can access each other's knowledge, languages and other skills, effectively becoming that other person. Which should see them out of a scrape or two, we're guessing.

It stars Tuppence Middleton ('Jupiter Ascending'), Doona Bae ('Cloud Atlas'), Daryl Hannah ('Blade Runner'), Naveen Andrews ('Lost') and Brian J. Smith ('Stargate Universe').

Also on board is 'Babylon 5' creator J. Michael Straczynski.

All 12 episodes in the first series of 'Sense8' will be available to watch on June 5th. Better cancel your plans.

June will also see series three of 'Orange is the New Black', and 'What Happened, Miss Simone?', a documentary about the legendary singer Nina Simone, land on Netflix.

Netflix has announced plans to own such shows in the future, giving it more control over where they are shown around the world and by whom.
