FX period drama 'The Americans' will continue to air on ITV Encore.

The channel showed the first two seasons in 2013 and 2014. Series three will start on ITV Encore later this summer, and will be followed by series four next year.

Series one and two will be repeated on the channel this month.

The show follows two KGB spies posing as Americans in Washington DC soon after Ronald Reagan is elected president.

Philip (Matthew Rhys) and Elizabeth (Keri Russell) have an arranged marriage. Their children Paige (Holly Taylor) and Henry (Keidrich Sellati) don't know the full story. Expect plenty of drama.

"I am delighted to be renewing our partnership with Fox Television on 'The Americans', a truly distinctive, utterly compelling drama which grips you tighter with each season," said Sasha Breslau, head of acquired series at ITV. "It feels like the perfect fit for ITV Encore."
