new apple tv screen

The new Apple TV might not go on sale until next month.

Sources tell 9to5Mac that despite Apple saying the streaming device would be available in October, it actually won't go on sale until early November.

On the Apple website, the device is only listed as "coming soon". It doesn't have a price yet.

However, according to the sources, the device will be available to pre-order this month. But it won't actually ship or be available in stores until November.

The new streaming device features Siri for voice control, and a new remote control with a touchpad for swiping. Apple claims it'll be as easy to use as an iPhone.

The control is also motion-sensitive, so you can wave it around to control just like a Nintendo Wii.

Since the device was announced, Amazon has revealed its new Fire TV which comes equipped with 4K for higher-resolution watching. The Roku 4 has also been revealed. It too is equipped for 4K viewing.

Google has also launched its Chromecast 2. It's not 4K, but it costs just £30.
