beasts of no nation

This is the final trailer for the much-anticipated 'Beasts of No Nation' starring Idris Elba from 'The Wire'.

The film centres on the plight of Agu (Abraham Attah), who is forced to become a child soldier during the civil war in an unnamed African country. Elba plays Commandant, a charismatic but dangerous leader in the battle.

It's directed by Cary Fukunaga ('True Detective').

The film will be Netflix's first to get a cinema release. On Friday, it will be shown in a limited number of cinemas in 19 regions in the US. It will hit Netflix the same day.

It looks like being a harrowing watch.

It's based on the novel of the same name by Uzodinma Iweala. There's a lot of Oscar buzz surrounding it. If it does win, it will be the first feature-length film made by a streaming service to win an Academy Award.

Netflix is making a big push into feature films. Laster this year, it will release 'The Ridiculous Six', which is the first of four films from Adam Sandler. Then comes 'War Machine' starring Brad Pitt, and the sequel to 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon'.
