sky sports premiership 2015

Sky and BT have announced which Barclays Premiership matches they will show in the New Year.

Sky's first match of 2016 will see Watford take on Manchester City on Saturday January 2nd at 5:30pm. BT's is Liverpool at West Ham at 12:45pm on the same day.

Other big clashes include Everton versus Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool against Manchester United, West Ham United versus Manchester City, Arsenal versus Chelsea and Liverpool versus Arsenal.

In all, Sky Sports will show 10 matches in January while BT Sport will show five.

Gary Hughes, head of football for Sky Sports, said in a statement: "Sky Sports has shown the biggest games in 2015, and we are starting as we mean to go on in 2016 with two huge Super Sundays from Anfield and the Emirates. It's the time of year when we start to see a picture of who is in contention at both ends of the table and Sky Sports is the only place to see the full story of the Premier League."

Simon Green, head of BT Sport, said: "January will be an exciting month for BT Sport viewers with teams fighting for their position at the top of the Barclays Premier League, as well as the Third and Fourth Rounds of the FA Cup, and all this ahead of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League knockout stages starting in February."
