Marvel's 'Jessica Jones' starts on Netflix on Friday. But ahead of time, here are a couple of clips so we know what to expect.
Both feature David Tennant, who plays Jones' nemesis The Purple Man. Tennant's character has mind-controlling abilities, and as these clips show, he's not afraid to use them.
The first clip sees The Purple Man (aka Kilgrave) walk into a house full of strangers and immediately put them under his spell. What a way to make yourself at home.
In the second, Kilgrave persuades a poker opponent to go all in after he's folded.
Presumably it was his mind-controlling skills that did the trick, rather than the comment about balls.
'Jessica Jones' is a spinoff from 'Daredevil', another Marvel property. It's the second of four live-action Marvel series to come to Netflix, and will be followed by 'Luke Cage' and 'Iron Fist'.
Then all of these characters will join forces for the team-up series 'The Defenders'.
All episodes of 'Jessica Jones' will be available from Friday, as will the remaining episodes of 'The Man in the High Castle' on Amazon Prime Instant Video. There goes our weekend.
