HBO has released the first trailer for 'Game of Thrones' series six.
While the 41-second clip doesn't feature any new footage, the supposedly dead Jon Snow does feature heavily, hinting that maybe he's not dead after all. The first teaser image for the series was of Snow with his head bowed, nose bloodied.
The old footage in the teaser trailer is mostly of grisly deaths from the show's five seasons.
There's a new voiceover too, an exchange between Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) and his new mentor, the Three-Eyed Raven (Max von Sydow).
"We watch," the Raven tells Bran. "We listen. And we remember. The past is already written. The ink is dry."
"They have no idea what's going to happen," Bran replies as the screen fades to black.
Indeed we don't. But hopefully it will be suitably gripping.
The series will start on HBO in April. Sky is yet to announce whether – as in previous years – it will simulcast the opening episode on Sky Atlantic.
