It's a feelgood start to the week, with fantasy courtesy of Terry Pratchett, an underdog sporting story starring John Candy, and a spin on a classic fairytale with Julia Roberts.
Terry Pratchett's The Colour of Magic
2pm, Sky 1
David Jason leads an all-star cast in the first of this two-part series based on the first two novels in Pratchett's Discworld series. Jason plays Rincewind, a failed wizard who befriends Twoflower, his world's quietest tourist who also has a habit of getting into trouble.
Tim Curry plays evil sorcerer Trymon, who only the hapless pair can stop in his quest for ultimate power.
2:20pm, BBC One
Feelgood comedy, featuring the king of feelgood, John Candy. Candy plays Irving Blitzer, a veteran bobsleigh coach who meets his match when he's tasked with Jamaica's first ever bobsleigh team.
Despite no one taking them seriously, they head to the Winter Olympics, where fame awaits. Guaranteed to have you welling up at the end.
4:25pm, Channel 4
A retelling of the classic 'Snow White' story, starring Julia Roberts and Lily Collins. Collins plays Snow White, while Roberts hams it up as the wicket stepmother.
The major change? The seven dwarves are recast as forest-dwelling rebels, who help White to try and win back her birthright and with it the heart of the dashing prince (played by Armie Hammer).
Yes, it's a case of style over substance, but when it's as stylish as this, we can forgive it. Sit back and enjoy the visuals.
