game of thrones series 6 posters

HBO has released new posters for 'Game of Thrones' series six, and one of them features Jon Snow, prompting rumours he might not be dead after all.

However, nothing is confirmed. Indeed, some of the other characters featured in the posters died previously in the series, like Oberyn 'the Red Viper' Martell and Joffrey. So HBO is keeping its cards close to its chest.

Jon Snow appeared to die at the end of series five. Though he then featured heavily in the promo material for the new series, leading many to speculate he would make a return.

Melisandre – who's alive – is also in the posters, as is Daario Naharis (fate unknown), Jaime Lannister (alive), Tormund (alive), and Daenerys Targaryen (alive).

Series six will start on April 25th in the UK on Sky Atlantic. A couple of weeks ago, HBO released a slew of pictures from the series.

This series will see the TV show overtake George RR Martin's books on which it's based.
