got snow tribute

Talk about Jon Snow. To celebrate the new series of 'Game of Thrones', Sky Atlantic made a massive snow tribute in the Alps.

It sent international snow artist Simon Beck up a mountain to carve the sigil of the House of Stark in snow.

Beck worked through the day and night for 13 hours to create the masterpiece. He walked through 32.5km of snow to make the piece, which stands the size of 2.5 football pitches.

Beck chose the Stark sigil in tribute to the character Jon Snow, who appeared to die at the end of series five. However, rumours abound that he's actually alive, or will be brought back to life somehow.

Series six of 'Game of Thrones' starts on Sky Atlantic on April 25th. For early birds, it will be simulcast at 2am (the same time it airs in the US). If you don't want to stay up that late, it'll also be broadcast at 9pm that night.

Every episode of series one to five will be available on Sky Box Sets from March 14th.
