Steven Soderbergh has signed up to executive produce a new Western series for Netflix.

Called 'Godless', it will reunite Soderbergh with 'Out of Sight' screenwriter Scott Frank.

Frank will write the script, direct, and executive produce the series alongside Soderbergh and Casey Silver.

'Godless' will be a limited, hour-long series, which is described as a Western set in the 1880s. It will film in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Apart from that, Netflix hasn't released any details about it, so we don't know anything about the plot or when it will air.

Soderbergh announced he has retired from films, and has since turned his hand to a raft of TV projects. These include 'The Girlfriend Experience' for Starz, 'The Knick' for Cinemax', 'Red Oaks' for Amazon Prime Video and 'Mosaic' for HBO.

The last film he worked on was 'Magic Mike XXL'. However, he's rumoured to be involved in an upcoming Channing Tatum film that would see him return to the big screen.
