Amazon has made its streaming service Prime Video more tempting than ever. In the US, it's launched monthly Prime subscriptions, giving customers free next-day delivery plus Prime Video. For $10.99 a month, they can ditch Prime whenever they like, rather than waiting for their yearly contract to expire.

The service is also available on a yearly subscription for $99.

Amazon Prime Video is already available in the UK for £5.99 a month, which is cheaper than Netflix. Amazon will be hoping that the free next-day delivery that comes with Prime will persuade more customers to shell out for it over Prime Video on its own.

There's no word on whether Amazon will launch monthly Prime subscriptions in the UK. But where the US leads, Amazon UK usually follows.

Would you subscribe to Prime on a monthly basis? And would it persuade you to ditch Netflix? Let us know in the comments.
