Amazon has renewed its gritty crime drama 'Bosch' for a third series.

The announcement comes just a month after the second series aired on Amazon Prime Video.

The show stars Titus Welliver as Harry Bosch, a surly cop who doesn't play by the rules. Yes, another one.

It's based on Michael Connelly's novels that feature the same character.

"Our customers can't get enough of Harry Bosch," Morgan Wandell, head of drama series for Amazon Studios, said in a statement. "Michael, Eric, Hanrik, and Pieter, Jan, as well as Titus and the entire cast and crew, have done a fantastic job with series two, and we can't wait to see what they have in store for next season."

Jamie Hector, who plays Bosch's partner detective Jerry Edgar, will return for the third series, as will Amy Aquino, Madison Lintz and Lance Reddick.

The third series will comprise 10 episodes and will air next year.
