If you watch Netflix using the official app on your Android device, you'll soon have a new way to pay your bill. The streaming service will start accepting money via Google Play, Google's app store for Android.

As long as you have a payment method stored (which you should if you've ever bought an app, film, TV show or game from Google), you'll be able to pay through Google Play.

The feature is listed as "coming soon" on the app's Google Play page. Google has confirmed in a statement that the payment option will roll out over "several weeks" to a "segment of members in supported regions". Though it hasn't said which regions these will be.

Netflix already lets its members pay their monthly bills via the App Store on iOS, so this seems like a logical step for the firm.

What's the advantage of paying this way? It means fewer companies have access to your credit card details, reducing your risk of being defrauded. Plus you can use those Google Play gift cards that have been gathering dust since Christmas. Happy viewing!
