We now know how much BT Sport costs on TalkTalk TV, and the answer is the same as on Sky.

BT Sport will set TalkTalk TV customers back £21.99 a month, plus an activation fee of £15 or £30. That's the same monthly charge you'd pay on Sky for BT Sport's standard definition channels.

The addition of BT Sport means that TalkTalk TV customers can now catch every Premier League match by subscribing to it and Sky Sports too. Though it'll cost a pretty penny.

Just like with Sky Sports, customers can add BT Sport on a month-by-month basis, or keep it for good. So if your team isn't being shown on BT that month, or the season hasn't started yet, you can unsubscribe, then jump straight back in whenever you like.

However, if you subscribe for 12 months upfront, you'll only have to pay an activation charge of £15, whereas if you opt for a month-by-month subscription, the fee will be £30.

You'll have to pay the activation fee every time you re-subscribe, so you're better off not dipping in and out too often. In that respect, it's not quite as convenient as Now TV.

You'll also need the TalkTalk TV Essentials package, which costs £5 a month for the first 12 months and £10 a month for the next six. This will give you a TalkTalk TV set-top box that lets you pause and rewind live TV for up to 15 minutes, though you can't record programmes onto it.

The more premium package is TalkTalk TV Plus, which costs £20 a month and comes with a 350GB set-top box to store up to 200 hours of standard definition programmes or 80 hours of high definition.
