We knew Caitlyn Jenner would make an appearance in the upcoming series of 'Transparent', but now we know who she'll play: herself.
The cast of the show spilled the beans to Entertainment Tonight.
The series follows father Mort Pfefferman (Jeffrey Tambor) as he deals with the fallout of coming out as a transgender woman called Maura. Caitlyn previously went by the name Bruce, and last year announced her identity as a trans woman.
Judith Light (who plays Shelly Pfefferman in the show) said Caitlyn's involvement in the show was "perfect", adding, "She's herself.
"What could be more perfect?" she said. "I'm not in that scene and I wasn't there the day that she filmed, but what could be more perfect than having her as part of the show?"
Jay Duplas (who plays Josh Pfefferman), said Caitlyn was a natural fit for the show.
"People are nervous about how she shows up on 'Transparent'," he said. "All I can say is that once they see it, they'll be really pleased because it makes a lot of sense the way that it happens."
The Emmy-winning show will return later this year on Amazon Prime Video, and has already been commissioned for a fourth series.
