Some of the cast members of 'Game of Thrones' are rumoured to have signed deals for an eighth season, which could well be the show's last.
Peter Dinklage, Emilia Clarke, Kit Harrington, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Lena Headey have signed up to earn more than $500,000 per episode, according to Deadline. However, this doesn't guarantee their characters will survive until the end of the series.
HBO refused to confirm or deny these rumours.
The final episode of series six airs on Monday on Sky Atlantic here in the UK. It will be the longest episode yet, running a whopping 69 minutes long.
Casting has reportedly already started for series seven, which should air in the spring of next year.
Series seven is rumoured to only comprise seven episodes. According to producers David Benioff and DB Weiss, there are only between 10 and 15 hours left in the show, prompting rumours that series eight will be similarly truncated.
HBO is yet to confirm that series seven even exists. Presumably it will do once series six has finished.
