Sky has made a virtual reality film documenting Team Sky's preparation for the Tour de France. You can watch it now on the Facebook pages of Sky Sports, Team Sky and Sky Loves Cycling.

The film is the latest from Sky VR Studios, Sky's in-house studio specialising in virtual reality films. Over the next year, it will produce more than 20 virtual reality films on subjects like current affairs and sports.

To make the film, Sky VR Studios followed Team Sky to a training day in Monaco and to the Tour of Romandie in Switzerland, one of the main preparatory races for the Tour de France.

It promises to give fans "a truly unique look at how Team Sky prepares for races".

"A lot of work goes into our training and race preparation that wouldn't normally be caught on camera," said Team Sky team principle Sir Dave Brailsford. "This film captures a lot of that detail – from the rider training camps, warm ups and a glimpse inside the team car on race day.

"The film is a first of its kind which provides a unique perspective on Team Sky. I'm sure it's something that all fans will enjoy."

The Tour de France starts on Saturday, and lasts until July 24th.
