From next year, FX's 'American Crime Story' will be exclusive to Netflix everywhere except Canada. The first series was the ratings winner 'The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story', which was shown on BBC 2 in the UK.

That series was US cable's most-watched new series of 2016. It was also nominated for an insane 22 Emmys. Though sadly none of them were for David Schwimmer's hair do.

It told the story of the trial of the century, and showed how the defence used the racial tensions of the time to its advantage.

The second series will focus on Hurricane Katrina, which devastated New Orleans in 2005.

"We're excited to evolve our relationship with Fox and to bring their lauded content to our members around the world," said Sean Carey, vice president of global television at Netflix. "Given the popularity of the first season of 'American Crime Story', we are thrilled to offer this acclaimed drama series to our members."
