star trek discovery

The new 'Star Trek' series has a new name. It's called 'Star Trek Discovery', the show's official Twitter account has confirmed.

In keeping with previous series (Enterprise, Voyager, Deep Space Nine etc), the series takes the name of the ship. So the crew will be aboard the USS Discovery.

There's even a 'test flight' video on the ship. Have a look.

The new series will air on CBS in the US and Canada, and will be available exclusively on Netflix everywhere else. It'll land in 2017. There's still no word on the cast, but make no mistake, this is one of the most highly anticipated TV series of all time, especially since the successful reboot of the 'Star Trek' film franchise.
