Paranormal sci-fi series 'Stranger Things' has been lighting up the internet in recent weeks, and now we have an idea of just how popular the show is.
Netflix doesn't release viewing figures, so it's hard to know how widely watched a series is. But according to an estimate from SymphonyAM, it's the third most popular show on the service.
That puts it ahead of Marvel properties like 'Daredevil' and 'Jessica Jones', and hit series 'Making a Murderer', 'House of Cards' and 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt'.
In fact, the only two shows more popular than it are 'Fuller House' and 'Orange is the New Black'.
'Stranger Things' tells the story of a boy who goes missing in small-town America, and the ensuing search to find him. It's a love letter to paranormal films of the 1980s, the decade in which it is set. If you're a fan of the fashions of the decade and synth-heavy scores, you'll love it.
However, this data should be taken with a pinch of salt. In the past, Netflix has disputed SymphonyAM's data, calling it inaccurate. Whether that's true, or if Netflix is just trying to keep this information to itself, is anyone's guess.
