Sky is celebrating 40 years of cult film 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' by premiering the feature-length reimagining of the 1975 original.
'The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do The Time Warp Again' will have its first showing in the UK and Ireland on Sky Cinema on Friday October 28th. That's right, it's just in time for Halloween.
The new take on the film is directed by Kenny Ortega ('Hocus Pocus') and follows sweethearts Janet (Victoria Justice) and Brad (Ryan McCarran) as they're swept into the bizarre world of Dr Frank-N-Furter (Laverne Cox), a sexually ambiguous and wildly flirtatious mad scientist.
Frank-N-Furter is hosting an event to showcase the birth of Rocky Horror, a muscle-bound specimen created with the sole purpose of fulfilling his every sordid whim.
Tim Curry – who played Frank-N-Furter in the original film – appears as The Criminologist. The cast also includes singer Adam Lambert and Reeve Carney ('Penny Dreadful').
"Sky Cinema is all about giving our viewers the very best experience, so to have a brand new production of a beloved classic before anybody else in the UK and Ireland is absolutely brilliant," said Ian Lewis, director of Sky Cinema. "It sums up the service perfectly. Plus who doesn't love doing the Time Warp?"
