Google's first virtual reality headset is on sale next month, and you'll be able to watch Netflix on it from the get-go.
Dubbed The Google Daydream View, it's one of the more affordable headsets we've seen: think Samsung Gear VR territory, as opposed to Oculus Rift. It's made of foam and fabric, with a hinged plastic panel where you place your Android phone.
With a weight of just 200g, it's quite a bit lighter than the Gear VR (which weighs 318g). Which should be a lot easier on the bridge of your nose.
The face mask fastens using velcro, which you'll be able to remove and wash, just in case you get all sweaty during a VR experience. Its compartment will adjust to hold any phone that supports Google's Daydream VR platform.
So what can you watch on it? YouTube, Netflix and HBO will all work from launch, though it sounds like it'll be their standard videos displayed on a virtual screen, instead of 'proper' 360-degree VR. Though YouTube and Netflix have made VR videos that you can watch on it too.
You can also go on virtual tours of sites all over the world using Google Maps' Street View (as you can with Google Cardboard).
Google hopes to have 50 apps available for Daydream before the end of the year.
The headset will go on sale in the UK in early November. There's no UK price yet, but in the US it'll cost $79, which is about £60.
