tinder apple tv

Daters beware: Tinder is now available on the Apple TV streaming box, meaning users can pull up your profile on the TV screen for all to see.

You might want to rethink that profile photo.

The app works just like its smartphone equivalent. Using the touch remote, you swipe right to like someone, left to dismiss them, and up to "super like" them. And all on a 65-inch TV screen.

And if you subscribe to Tinder Plus – Tinder's paid-for service – you can shake the remote to rewind (i.e. take back your last swipe).

Tinder supposes situations in which you might use the app on the big screen. Though none of them include ritual humiliation, which we suspect will be its primary purpose.

Apple has previously said it thinks the future of TV is apps, turning your humble gogglebox into an all-purpose entertainment-cum-lifestyle device. Apps like Tinder are a step towards that vision.
