Netflix has greenlit a second season of the Marvel series 'Luke Cage'. The show's Twitter account put out a teaser, but there's no word of a broadcast date. All the teaser reveals is "Season 2 coming soon."
The Tweet was accompanied by the slogan "Always forward", which is the motto of Pop in the show.
'Luke Cage' stars Mike Colter in the titular role. Cage is a former convict with superhuman strength and unbreakable skin who has turned his hand to fighting crime.
It also stars Mahershala Ali, Simone Missick, Theo Rossi, Erik LaRay Harvey, Rosario Dawson and Alfre Woodward.
Colter previously played Cage in the Marvel series 'Jessica Jones'.
The gritty comic book show has been well received by viewers and critics alike. It's just one of a whole canon of Marvel series that Netflix has commissioned: 'Daredevil' and 'Jessica Jones' have already aired, while 'Iron Fist', 'The Punisher' and 'The Defenders' are coming soon.
The last of these will be a crossover series, which will see numerous Marvel characters joining forces.
