women's six nations

Sky Sports has announced plans to show all five of England's Women's Six Nations rugby matches. The games against France, Wales, Italy and Ireland will be broadcast live, with additional coverage of the Scotland match.

The action kicks off Saturday 4th February, when England take on France at Twickenham. This will be shown live for all Sky customers, even if they don't subscribe to Sky Sports, as it will be broadcast on Sky's free sports channel, Sky Sports Mix.

The new deal marks the first time that every England match in the series will be broadcast.

"This is great news for Sky Sports viewers and another example of our strong partnership with the RFU across all levels," said Gus Williamson, head of rugby for Sky Sports. "This deal will give our viewers more action from the Women's Six Nations than ever before, which adds to a thrilling year of women's rugby on Sky Sports."

Sky also has other women's rugby tournaments scheduled, including all six legs of the HSBC World Rugby Women's Sevens Series (the next match being on 3rd February) and the Old Mutual Wealth Series in November.

Other women's sports covered on Sky Sports include live coverage of all England's international, Quad Series and Vitality Netball Superleague netball games, the Women's Cricket World Cup and women's golf from the LPGA tour (including for the first time the British Open in July).

In terms of men's rugby, it will also cover the British & Irish Lions tour, Autumn Internationals from England and Ireland, the European Rugby Champions Cup and Challenge Cup, Rugby Championship, Super Rugby from the Southern Hemisphere, Top 14, Guinness Pro12, HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series and age-grade rugby.
