Six more episodes of BBC documentary 'Planet Earth II' are on the way, but these will be shown exclusively on messaging app Snapchat.
The weekly short-run episodes will feature exclusive footage that wasn't shown on TV, according to the BBC.
The episodes will last between four and six minutes, and will be found in the Discover section of the app. They've been formatted especially for Snapchat's portrait orientation.
However, Sir David Attenborough won't be on hand for narrating duties. Instead, he's replaced by actress Sophie Okonedo, who has starred in 'Hotel Rwanda', 'After Earth' and 'Doctor Who'.
The episodes will follow the theme of each TV episode – i.e. Islands, Mountains, Jungles, Deserts, Grasslands and Cities. They will air a day before their equivalent TV episodes are broadcast in the US.
"For millions of Snapchatters, our app is their first screen – and this will be their first introduction to the unbelievable cinematic quality, storylines and stunning visuals of the 'Planet Earth' franchise," said Nick Bell, the VP of content for Snap.
