netflix skip intro button

Netflix is testing a button that lets you skip the opening sequence and theme tune of a series.

The button has been spotted on both Netflix originals like 'House of Cards' as well as third-party shows like 'The Office'.

The button works with both shows that feature a standard opening sequence, and those whose comes after the show starts (what's known as a 'cold open').

So far, the button has only been spotted on the web version of Netflix. But if the company does decide to roll it out, expect to see it on Netflix apps too.

If you're binge-watching shows, the title sequence is usually skipped automatically, so you don't have to listen to the theme tune over and over again.

Netflix implemented this feature fairly recently. However, it angered some viewers of 'A Series of Unfortunate Events', as the opening sequence contains crucial plot details.

So Netflix disabled the feature for that show. You can't say Netflix doesn't listen to its fans.
