Here's the trailer for Louis C.K.'s new stand-up comedy show.

Called '2017', it will come exclusively to Netflix on 4th April – that's Tuesday.

The set was filmed in Washington DC, and is the comic's first live special since 2015's 'Live at the Comedy Store'.

It's the first of two Louis C.K. comedy specials for Netflix this year.

"Louise has been one of the most innovative comedy voices in this new era of stand-up," said Ted Sarandos, chief content officer at Netflix.

"He has also been a thought leader in the business of comedy. We have marvelled at his creativity and his ability to invent comedically and commercially, and are thrilled that he is bringing his newest specials to Netflix."

The comedian has been a pioneer in taking his shows straight to the people.

Instead of releasing DVDs through a production company, he opted to release his sets digitally through his website, with no digital rights management (so fans could share them and watch them on whatever device they liked).

His first stab at this made him a million dollars.

Netflix is investing heavily in original comedy recently, signing up exclusive specials from Jerry Seinfeld, Amy Schumer, Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle.
