Series seven starts on 16th July (17th July here in the UK, where it airs on Sky Atlantic). It will be the penultimate series, and will only consist of seven episodes, down from the usual 10.

These will comprise original storylines, as well as some taken from George RR Martin's source novels 'The Winds of Winter' and 'A Dream of Spring'.

According to the trailer, a 'Great War' is coming. Oscar winner Jim Broadbent will also make his debut on the show, playing an "old professor character".

As with previous series, Sky will simulcast the episodes, meaning they're broadcast at the same time as in the US. They'll air at 2am on Monday mornings, though Sky will repeat each at 9pm that evening.

Of course, each will be available to watch on-demand as well, through Sky, or on Now TV using an Entertainment pass.
