netflix screensaver daredevil

Not content with binning off its star ratings system in favour of thumbs, Netflix has just made another major change to its service – it's introduced screensavers.

These designs appear once the screen has been idle for a while. So if you nod off in front of the telly, don't be alarmed if you wake to see Marvel's Daredevil staring at you.

They only appear on Netflix's TV apps at the moment, presumably because they have more impact on a bigger screen. And they all promote Netflix's own shows like 'Orange is the New Black' and 'Hemlock Grove'.

Netflix doesn't have adverts, you see. Though these screensavers come pretty close.

The screensavers have been spotted on the Netflix apps on Xbox One, Roku streaming devices, Amazon Fire TV, PlayStation 4 and some smart TVs.

Have you seen them yet? Let us know.
