Netflix's animated comedy 'BoJack Horseman' will start its fourth series on 8th September.

The streaming service announced last year that there would be a fourth series, but has only just announced the airing date.

There's no word on what to expect from series four. At the end of series three, Horseman – a washed-up actor who happens to also be a horse – had suffered humiliation after having his Oscar nomination taken away from him.

Expect plenty more setbacks for Horseman in the next series.

The series is one of the darker animated comedies of recent years. While Netflix has been keen to commission plenty of original content to draw viewers to the service, it's not been shy about cancelling shows that don't perform as expected. Which makes 'Horseman''s fourth series all the more impressive.
