Netflix has announced the launch date of 'Stranger Things' series two. The highly-anticipated second series starts on 27th October, a few days earlier than the first series' Halloween launch date last year.

The streaming service has also put out some teasers on Twitter.

As you can see, a creature from the Upside Down is threatening the boys' hometown of Hawkins, Indiana.

The same cast returns for series two, as do series creators the Duffer brothers. The show is a love letter to paranormal series and films of the 1980s – think the work of Stephen King, James Cameron and Steven Spielberg.

The whole series will be available to watch at once. The 27th is a Friday, so better cancel all plans for that weekend.
