Sky has commissioned a new reality competition show, but instead of searcing for singing, baking or painting stars, this one focuses on footie.

'Jamie Vardy's V9 Academy' will follow the Leicester and England star as he searches out talent from the world of non-league football. He'll also inspire future footballers to realise their dreams by "providing them with a unique insight into what it takes to play at the top level of the game."

The show will go behind the scenes at the V9 Academy. It'll also show Vardy reminiscing about his time in non-league football - he started his career with Stockbridge Park Steels in 2007, befor helping Leicester win a fairytale Premiership title last year.

The six-part docu-series will air on Sky 1 on Saturday 16th September and on Sky Sports Premier League.

"There's massive talent out there in non-league football and I hope this documentary has demonstrated that, by putting the spotlight on players trying to find a way to the top," said Vardy.

"I'm now hopeful that the some of the clubs, scouts and players that were sceptical about what John [V9 co-founder] and I set out to do are won over.

"There are many more hidden gems to be found outside the league and V9 will do all it can to help players realise their ultimate dream of playing professional football for club and country."
