Comedians Steve Martin and Martin Short are set to star in a new Netflix comedy special.

Based on their current stand-up musical tour, the show will be produced by legendary producer Lorne Michaels ('Saturday Night Live', '30 Rock').

It's called 'Steve Martin and Martin Short: An Evening You Will Forget for the Rest of Your Life'.

Steve Martin announced the special – in typically silly fashion – via his Twitter account.

The special was recorded on Friday night during the duo's show in Greenville, South Carolina. It features the pair performing new musical sketches and discussing their careers.

Martin and Short have known each other for more than 30 years, and have worked together numerous times, including on 'Saturday Night Live', and in the films 'Three Amigos' and 'Father of the Bride'.

It's the latest signing to Netflix's comedy canon, which includes stand-up specials from Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld, Dave Chappelle and Amy Schumer.
