Netflix has renewed 'Queer Eye' for a second series. The makeover show is a reboot of the classic series (originally titled 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy').
It sees a team of stylists and life coaches (dubbed the Fab Five) give a straight man a makeover in all areas of his life, from personal hygiene and fashion to diet and dress sense.
The reboot stands apart from the original series by venturing outside its native New York to help men all over America.
Netflix also recommissioned four other unscripted shows at the same time. These are 'Dope', 'Drug Lords', 'Nailed It!' and 'The Toys That Made Us'.
Only 'Dope' has a series two premiere date: 20th April.
"These series are indicative of what we're trying to accomplish for Netflix unscripted: working with world-class producers to create the best unscripted shows on television," said Bela Bajaria, Netflix's VP of content.
"These series elevate the genre with innovative takes on familiar formats. They deliver immersive and nuanced stories. They elicit so many emotions from viewers, from tears of laughter to tears of joy – and that's just "Queer Eye'."
