'Taskmaster' is coming back to Dave for a sixth series. The show sees Greg Davies assign a series of comedians baffling and bizarre tasks to fulfil. Past examples have included drawing a picture of a horse, while riding a horse.

Alex Horne also returns as Davies' faithful sidekick.

This series' comedians taking part in the tasks are: Alice Levine (Radio 1), Asim Chaudry ('People Just Do Nothing'), Liza Tarbuck (Radio 2), Russell Howard and Tim Vine.

The 10-episode series starts in early May. Dave has commissioned a further three series of the show, taking it to a nine-season run.

'Taskmaster' was the most popular show on the on-demand service UKTV Play last year. In total, including the two-part special 'Taskmaster: Champion of Champions', it reached 1.4 million viewers.

It was awarded Best Entertainment Programme at the Broadcast Awards, and was nominated for a BAFTA.

"With an incredible four series commission, I am most delighted about the fact that Greg and I will have the opportunity to both test and torment 20 more familiar faces with even more silly and infuriating tasks," said Alex Horne, the show's creator, executive producer and co-host.
