Hot on the heels of its anime based on a videogame comes yet another animated series, this one written by the same person as Avatar: The Last Airbender and Futurama.
Aaron Ehasz is the man behind The Dragon Prince. It’s about two princes and an elf assassin who embark on a quest.
Ehasz worked on Futurama both during its original run and its revival on Comedy Central in 2009. He also served as head writer and co-executive producer on Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Last Airbender animated series (not the much-derided M. Night Shyamalan live-action film version).
He will be joined by Justin Richmond, a game developer who worked on the Uncharted series, and Giancarlo Volpe, a director from Avatar: The Last Airbender (again, the good version) and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Ehasz’s old colleague Matt Groening’s new animation Disenchantment starts on Netflix next month.
