game of thrones series 7 4

Facebook has its eye on one of the hottest properties in TV land – Game of Thrones.

The social network is considering adding a pay-TV service to its video offering. It would partner with US broadcaster HBO to bring the epic fantasy series Game of Thrones to Facebook users.

The service would come via Facebook’s Watch service. Watch isn’t currently available in the UK.

The service should arrive in the first half of next year, just in time for the eighth and final series of Game of Thrones.

While Facebook Watch is yet to land in the UK, it has had some success in other territories. Jada Pinkett Smith’s Red Table Talk is its biggest show to date, attracting 4.3 million viewers.
