SEO Director - London

Description

We are looking for a digital-minded leader to drive organic growth across our portfolio of brands spanning the Financial Services, Telecommunications, and Energy industries. We’re a company of quick, strategic thinkers who value high performance. Speed & adaptability are at the core of our company culture as well as our SEO strategy. We play in competitive verticals, so if you want to prove that you’re the best of the best, you’ll have your shot. Our proprietary tracking systems will also give you access to the next-level data you need to make smarter marketing decisions

What’s the Role? Spend all your time actually doing SEO, not convincing clients of its value.

  • Set strategic direction for natural search growth from launching/acquiring sites to identifying keyword niches
  • Drive the daily performance of multiple SEO assets, from site acquisition to P&L management & conversion rate optimization
  • Develop & recruit new SEO talent, create solutions and see them through as they are implemented
  • Use (and help build) proprietary tools and data to make smarter decisions about what keywords to target, what landing pages to improve, and more
  • Manage and/or work closely with other SEO specialists, analysts and developers

The Opportunity: Get the budget, the freedom and the access to win – and win big

  • Make decisions that affect critical aspects of your business and interact regularly with company leaders and C-level executives
  • Work with dedicated designers, writers, coders and outreach teams who are all aligned to support site builds, optimization, and link building strategy

Requirements

What We’re Looking For: Don’t just manage site rankings; own the big picture.

  • The ideal candidate will be a proven performer with 5+ years of experience in Search Engine Optimization. More importantly, we need someone with a proven track record of results. Three years winning as an SEO Director is better than six years merely existing as one in our book.
  • Successful candidates are passionate about innovating in natural search, don’t accept theories at face value, and enjoy testing to prove effectiveness of tactics
  • Candidates should have experience with affiliate marketing or link building as well as an understanding of in-depth ROI analysis.
  • Progressive, on-the-spot, creative problem solver who demonstrates both technical and analytical skills
  • Data-driven marketer with superior analytical and quantitative skills who think creatively to make impactful business decisions
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Can lead as well as function as part of a team

Benefits

  • 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays
  • Private health and dental
  • Gym on site in London – or membership in regional offices
  • 7.5% pension contribution by the company
  • Free breakfast and afternoon snacks
  • Friday night drinks
  • Discretionary annual bonus up to 10% of base salary
  • Birthday day off, move house day off
  • Training and development
  • Referral bonus up to £5K

We`re based in a vibrant area that`s full of history. Built on the site of the old Courage brewery, our "Cooperage" offices are located right next to Tower Bridge on the south side of the Thames. Our workplace has many great features: free gym, games room, in-house barista and free breakfasts and snacks. These are just part of an extensive wider benefits package that includes a contributory pension, bonus schemes, life assurance and much more.
