Who deals with the suppliers?

You don’t have to worry about contacting the suppliers when you switch. We’ll take care of it on your behalf, and your new supplier will contact you to co-ordinate your switch.

Once you confirm your switch, we pass your details onto your new supplier. They then set up your account and get in touch with you to organise your switch.

Your new supplier will let your old one know that you are switching.

Your new supplier will only start charging you from the date you switch. You will not pay twice for the same thing. But, after you have switched, you should contact your bank and cancel any Direct Debits you have set up with your old supplier.

If you want to pay your new supplier by Direct Debit or using a credit or debit card, we take your banking or card details when you switch online. Your new supplier then sets up your payment for you.

Your new supplier will let you know what you have to do to redirect your calls. They will either:

• let you know the date your calls will start being automatically redirected through them. This is the most common option.

• send you an autodialler to plug into your phone socket, or

• give you a prefix number to dial before your call (or a freephone number if you use cable).

In this case, there’s no need for your old supplier to be contacted, as you will still rent your line from them. You will still receive a bill from them, but it shouldn’t have any call charges.
