Yell.com is the first brand to have signed up to 3's new mobile broadband advertising platform, it has emerged.
Customers using mobile broadband on their laptop with a 3G dongle from 3 will soon notice adverts from the business directory on the screen next to their connection dashboard.
3, which announced its plans to begin carrying adverts on the service earlier this summer, intends to get more brands to sign up to the advertising opportunity in the coming weeks.
The dashboard is seen by broadband users every time they connect to internet services.
Last month, the broadband provider claimed to advertisers signing up to the new platform that they will have an audience of up to three million users per month.
Meanwhile, laptop broadband users may be interested to know that mobile manufacturer Nokia has unveiled its new mini notebook PC, the Booklet 3G, which features built-in Wi-Fi, 3G and HSPA broadband connectivity.
