3 mobile broadband laptop deals refreshed

New mobile broadband deals have been unveiled by 3, offering consumers the chance to get their hands on cutting-edge, recently released Samsung laptops from just £20 per month.
As of today, 3 customers can get a Samsung N130 for free when they sign up for a two-year contract with the broadband provider at £20 per month. This entitles them to 1GB of usage per month, making the offer ideal for light users.
Additionally, the N130 is available in a contract option for people need to get online more frequently and who download large amount of data. This package also features a 24-month contract, but includes a monthly download limit of 15GB for £15 per month.
3’s other new offering is for the Samsung R720, which has been the recipient of some of the best reviews ever for a Samsung-branded laptop from the technology press. This is £40 per month for 15GB of usage.
All three packages provide users with a broadband connection speed of up to 3.Mb, depending on location and network reception. A 3 mobile broadband dongle is also supplied by the broadband provider. These support microSD cards, so can be used as a memory stick/mass storage device as well as a means to get online.
The arrival of the new Samsung laptops in 3’s revamped product portfolio comes just weeks after the devices went on sale to glowing reviews from the public and press alike. Testers praised the N130 for its design, build quality and six-hour battery life and cited it as further evidence of Samsung’s burgeoning reputation for affordable, high quality laptops.
Reviewers were even more impressed by the higher-end R720, with Crave in particular praising the device’s “graphical horsepower”. Meanwhile, Computer Active noted its “wide, bright display” and “attractive design”, as well as the fact that Samsung has provided users with “plenty of system memory”.
Jessica McArdle, marketing manager at Top 10 Broadband, said: “3 will be looking to build on the success they had with Samsung's NC10 laptop deals with the R720 and the N130 laptops.
“At a time when many networks are cutting back on their laptop promotions, 3 continues to innovate releasing brand new, top of the range laptops in time for the Christmas rush.”
Laptop and broadband deals have become increasingly popular in recent months as consumers realise that by spreading payments they are able to get a high-specification device that they might otherwise struggle to afford.
3 also operates a series of dongle only mobile broadband deals, which start at £10 per month for a monthly download limit of 1GB. For a limited period, selected offers come with a free £20 accessory voucher when bought online from Top 10 Broadband.
Alternatively, last month saw the broadband supplier introduce the UK’s first Mi-Fi mobile broadband offering. A Mi-Fi differs from dongles by emitting a localised wireless broadband signal, thus allowing multiple users to surf the internet via the same connection.
