O2 mobile broadband dongle price slashed
Posted 13th November 2009 at 1:11pm by Jonathan Leggett
O2 is offering its pay as you go mobile broadband dongle for half-price for a limited period.
As of today, the new price point of the broadband provider’s pre-pay mobile broadband dongle is just £14.67.
Buyers can expect a broadband connection speed of up to 3.6Mb and can then add usage on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
O2's daily tariff is £2 for 500MB of usage, while the weekly and monthly options are priced at £7.50 for 1GB and £15 for 3GB respectively. All three also entitle customers to unlimited Wi-Fi use.
The dongle is Mac and PC compatible, with users entitled to a full refund if they are unhappy with the service on the proviso that the product is returned within 30 days of purchase.
The launch of the new broadband offer comes as O2 recently confirmed it would be offering free home broadband to all iPhone customers who sign up for its tethering add-on.
This is intended to dissuade its subscriber base from switching to new UK iPhone carrier Orange.
