The supplier has today announced a significant EBITDA increase of 26% from its UK supply activities
E.ON was the last of the big energy suppliers to hike its prices in January by £45 or 4% for standard direct debit customers and £14 for 1.1% for cash and cheque customers, factoring in Government changes to levies on bills
Uswitch.com is calling on E.ON to help UK consumers by cutting prices again.
Ann Robinson, Director of Consumer Policy at Uswitch.com, says: “E.ON was the last of the big six to raise bills this winter, and its price increase took into account the Government’s changes to environmental and social levies which are paid for through household energy bills. However, we urge E.ON to use its improvement in profits to bring down prices for customers this year.”
